Gloucestershire Schools Novice Gymnastics Competition 2006

As part of The Cheltenham School of Gymnastics School club link programme The Gym Centre Cheltenham are pleased to enter children that attend classes at the club into a competition where by they can represent their schools. We use this competition as an introduction in to competition work for both our new young Gymnasts and our beginner Coaches.

Competitions at county and regional levels are of a far higher standard, so it is very important that the Coaches and Gymnasts get the basics correct. Overseen by The clubs mentor, Mrs Kerwen Collett the rookey coaches this year are Fourteen year old Ellen Thorne, fifteen year old Gabby Cian-Jones & Georgia Griffiths and 17 year old Rachel Ballinger, coaching Girls, with Simon Collett and Nikki Leat coaching Boys.

The Competition was held at Monks croft Primary School on Saturday 4th February. The aim of the competition is for the Gymnasts to gain as high of a percentage as possible, there are no looser's.
